A Day At Holly Tree

What does a day at Holly Tree look like?

If you're an Infant, it might look like this! Our Infants
get special treatment around Holly Tree--
they even get to make their own schedules! :)

 Zeroto Three.org says:
"In the day-to-day give and take of good infant/ toddler child care, children and
their caregivers relate in a way that looks much like a dance, with the child leading,
the caregiver picking up the rhythm and following. When a caregiver reads
and responds to the young child's messages with sensitivity, the child's
hunger to be understood is satisfied. The conviction that "I am someone who is
paid attention to" becomes part of the infant or toddler's identity."

Our young toddlers start to learn about classroom routines
and independence skills, along with sensory skills
development and language. They also learn about social
interactions and how much fun learning can be!

For some great Toddler parenting ideas

A Holly Tree teacher's day is busy, fun, and
full of movement. Our teachers learn all the time just
like our students! Even though they're the experts, they
complete continuing education hours throughout the year,
as well as learn from each other and our Holly Tree children!
Each day is different and exciting. Just like we like it. :)

When Holly tree children start to "get big", so does their realm of development!

They begin to learn what it means to be part of a group and a community.

Preschool.org helps explain.

They learn how to use their skills to create and
intentionally act for themselves.

They begin to understand what being "me" is all
about and what a good thing that is!

They understand that learning and love
 are the foundations of childhood!
