We have new friends at Holly Tree!
Below is our new furry friend, Henry.
Henry hangs out a lot in our Toddler classes,
but he's know for hopping around to other classrooms, too!
Come by and meet him if you haven't yet.
We're trying to show him the love before Easter--
he just might have friends in high places :)
Did you know that research shows the following
benefits of classroom pets:
Pets Enrich the Classroom Experience
• Even kids with no exposure to animals or nature in their home environment can see, feel, touch and make connections to the wide world of animals.
• Observing and caring for an animal instills a sense of responsibility and respect for life.
• A pet brings increased sensitivity and awareness of the feelings and needs of others—both animals and humans.
• Kids learn that all living things need more than just food and water for survival.
• Students will see directly how their behavior and actions affect others.
• Studies show that the presence of animals tends to lessen tension in the classroom.

Below are two more new friends you may see around Holly Tree.
They are Mary and Amanda, who both work for our company.
Mary's and Amanda's roles relate to teacher support and family interactions.
We couldn't be happier to have them with their beautiful smiles and helping hands!
Below you can see classrooms of friends learning to work together!
Our two's learned that friends can help you get from one place to another.
That will help them throughout a lifetime, as will working and discovering
in groups, as you see with our Preschoolers.
As you can see, there are many kinds of friends our Holly Tree children share.
Familiar and joyful places, things, activities, and most importantly, people, are
invaluable during the early years. That's why we make sure we provide these
daily to all the children in our care. After all, here at
Holly Tree, we're creating childhood!
