The Importance of Tummy Time!

Babies need to be active from birth. Tummy time is a great way to encourage your baby to get moving and start building muscle strength.

Babies who don't get much tummy time may be slower to develop than babies who do. This means that it may take a little longer for them to reach major milestones, such as rolling over, sitting up, or crawling. By giving your baby a chance to develop his muscles, you will be helping to stimulate your baby's development.

Tummy time has lots of benefits for your growing baby.

Lying on their front helps your baby to strengthen his/her back and shoulders, as well as giving them a chance to move their arms and legs in a different way. This will develop their gross motor skills, which will help them to roll over. As your little one gets older, they will start trying to push up from the tummy position and straighten their arms. This is the precursor to crawling, and it will strengthen the muscles needed to get moving!

Tummy time will also strengthen your baby's neck, which will give them greater head control. This means that your baby will be able to look up and around. Being able to see things around them will develop your baby's coordination and their ability to follow things with their eyes.

Fire Fighter Visit!

We had the exciting privilege of the Fire Department coming to visit us! The children had a great time and learned a lot about fire trucks and what fire fighters do on a daily basis to save lives in our community. :)

The kids LOVED getting to check out the fire truck! One of them even said "I want to live in this thing"! ;)

They even got to help out the firefighters! Their faces lit up when they got to do some hands on experience!

Even the teachers got to help out! Ms. Bria showed off the fire fighter jacket for her class :)

We had a great time! Thank you again to our Fire Fighters for coming out. We appreciate all you do to keep our community safe!!

Branches Ministry

We want to make you all aware of an awesome ministry our company (Never Grow Up) offers as a resource to our staff and families.

BRANCHES is a non-profit Christian ministry focused on reaching in and out to the staff, families, and community of Never Grow Up and beyond. Our mission is to provide programs, events and community connections to supply support and encouragement. We serve to see needs met, lives changed, faith developed, families enhanced and equipped. Believing that we will connect lives to the “Source of Life” through branches of hope.

One of the many ways that Branches provides hope, care and support is through our ‘SPIRIT SEEKERS’ groups.  This is designed for anyone who wants to deepen their spiritual journey and tap into the abundance God has in store for your life.  If you know that you have a light to shine but just aren’t sure where to start, then Spirit Seekers is for you. Small groups meet and discuss topics related to developing your SPIRITUAL GIFTS.  We believe everyone has something to offer and we want to help those gifts take ROOT in hope and see them serve in LOVE.

Branches Ministries began with the generous heart of Dwight Derringer, owner of Never Grow Up, Inc. He had a strong desire to go beyond a simple hello or handshake to really help the teachers and families he saw in his preschools day to day. Dwight comments, “I knew God was calling us to give in a big way, but how? And then it hit me, there are people and families in my company that need help and support.”

Many of them had very specific struggles and some were just looking for encouragement and spiritual guidance. He wanted to do something to help meet the needs of these families and leave a lasting legacy in and throughout their lives. After sharing this vision with his wife Misti Jackson-Derringer, they decided to create a Christian Non-profit organization. Through the blessing of scripture in John (15:5), “I am the vine; YOU are the BRANCHES”, Branches Ministries was born.

Ms. Bria & Ms. Breanna even tye dyed shirts for all of the children! They all looked so cute!!!

Halloween Fire Safety Tips!

Halloween is such a fun time for kids! We want to make sure they have the SAFEST night possible while experiencing this exciting time of the year! :)

Here are a few Halloween Fire Safety Tips:

*When choosing a costume, stay away from billowing or long trailing fabric. If your child is wearing a mask, make sure the eye holes are large enough so they can see out.

*Provide children with flashlights to carry for lighting or glow-sticks as part of their costume.

* Dried flowers and cornstalk are highly flammable. Be sure to keep these items and any other decorations away from all open flames and heat sources.

* It is safest to use a flashlight or battery-operated candle in a jack-o-lantern, rather than a real candle.

* Remember to keep exits clear of decorations, so nothing blocks escape routes.

* Tell children to STAY AWAY from any and all open flames! Be sure they know how to STOP, DROP, & ROLL if their clothes or costumes were to catch fire.

* Lastly, HAVE FUN!!!!

Did you know?

Decorations are the first thing to ignite in more
than 1,000 reported home fires each year.
