Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!

Wednesday, March 2nd kicked off the NEA's Read Across America. It is an annual reading motivation and awareness program that calls for every child in every community to celebrate reading! Research has shown that children who are motivated and spend more time reading do better in school. All month long, during the month of March, we will have Special Guest Readers reading Dr. Seuss books to our children!

Today, we had a special volunteer come to read One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish! Ann Small is a parent of a 2 year old here at Holly Tree! Thank you so much for donating your time and coming to hang out with all of the kids!

We still need more volunteers to read Dr. Seuss books this month! If you'd like to volunteer, there is a sign-up sheet at the front desk! Please remember to keep reading to your children! It builds a stronger relationship with your child, helps with communication and basic speech skills, and sets them up for academic excellence!
